I think that the reason is the world of apps. Nowadays we’re getting apps for everything, and websites are someway returning a primarily desktop experience. Also, we have to remember that these are websites are the top notch for brand presentation, and presentation only. If we look at most e commerce and similars..they’re still pretty usable.
